I will be using this blog to share my day to day struggle with my illness. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia April 1, 2010. Yup, April Fools Day. I will never forget that day. After rounds and rounds of tests I was down to two possible diagnosis. Fibro and Hypothyroidism. I knew I was in big trouble, when I asked my doctor which one I should hope for, and her answer was  Hypothyroidism. (I would be diagnosed with it 5 years later ) Lucky me, I hit the jackpot! On top of my Fibromyalgia I also suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Degenerative Discs in neck and lower back, Costochondritis, IBS, Insomnia, Depression, Anxiety, Panik attacks and Hypothyroidism.

I have blogged about depression. If you are truly clinically depressed and not just feeling really sad or down, that is a medical condition which you should get help for from a doctor. It is not just a case of ‘cheer up!’ You may have a chemical imbalance that can be addressed by a professional. Good luck!

  5. You and way too many of my friends suffer from the fibromyalgia disease. Am fortunate just to have multiple sclerosis, scoliosis, depression, asthma, anxiety, and such treatable diseases. Note I said treatable, not curable!
